Kittens are born white, and their points emerge gradually, becoming more defined and darker over several years, creating a beautiful contrast with their lighter body fur.

  • ๐Ÿ–-๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ ๐–๐ž๐ž๐ค๐ฌ: Initial colouring appears on the ears, nose, paws, and tail.
  • ๐Ÿ ๐˜๐ž๐š๐ซ: Markings become more distinct, but the coat is still developing.
  • ๐Ÿ-๐Ÿ‘ ๐˜๐ž๐š๐ซ๐ฌ: Significant darkening and deepening of colour occur, with the contrast becoming pronounced.
  • ๐Ÿ‘-๐Ÿ’ ๐˜๐ž๐š๐ซ๐ฌ: The cat reaches its full, mature coat colour and pattern. 



๐“๐ž๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ๐š๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ž: Colder temperatures (winter) tend to make the points darker, while warmer temperatures (summer) can make them lighter, even in indoor cats.


๐†๐ž๐ง๐ž๐ญ๐ข๐œ๐ฌ: The specific colour (seal, blue, chocolate, lilac, etc.) influences how dark they get. So, if you have a Ragdoll kitten, be patient; their stunning, full colouration is a gradual process that unfolds over several years!.

  • ๐‚๐ก๐จ๐œ๐จ๐ฅ๐š๐ญ๐ž: A โ€œchocolate ragdollโ€ has milk chocolate points "face, tail, paws and ears" with an ivory body colour.
  • ๐๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ž: A โ€œblue ragdollโ€ has dark grey points "face, tail, paws and ears" with a pale grey body colour.
  • ๐‹๐ข๐ฅ๐š๐œ: A โ€œlilac ragdollโ€ has pinkish grey points "face, tail, paws and ears" with a frosty white body colour.
  • ๐‘๐ž๐ (๐…๐ฅ๐š๐ฆ๐ž): A โ€œred/flame ragdollโ€ in this version the points "face, tail, face and ears" are in a red orange colour, the body is cream with a slight touch of red, colour points show a pink nose, which can be freckled and pink paw pads.

  • ๐๐ข-๐œ๐จ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ: โ€œBi-colour Ragdoll" has dark points (ears and tail), but the mask is interrupted by an inverted โ€œVโ€ running between the eyes and expanding into the muzzle, the body colour forms a โ€œsaddleโ€ on the ragdolls back and the remainder of the ragdoll is white, bi-colours have pink nose leather and paw pads.

  • ๐“๐จ๐ซ๐ญ๐ข๐ž: "Tortie Ragdollโ€ is oddly enough, sex-specific, it appears on females, if you have a red ragdoll with a seal ragdoll or blue ragdoll, you may get some ragdoll kittens with tortie patterns, the blue tortie point or blue cream point variety has bluish gray points with cream patches, seal tortie point is very dark brown with red patches, can show up in colourpoint, mitted and bi-colour varieties.
